How We Rate Recruitment Software

Transparency matters. Here is exactly how we evaluate and score the 106 tools on our platform.

Overall Rating (out of 5.0)

Each tool's overall rating is a weighted composite of four criteria. This ensures that the score reflects what matters most to buyers — not just flashy features, but genuine usability and value.

30%
Features & Functionality

Breadth and depth of features relative to the category. Does the tool cover core requirements and offer meaningful differentiators?

25%
Ease of Use

Interface design, learning curve, onboarding experience, and day-to-day usability for recruiters and HR teams.

25%
Value for Money

Pricing relative to feature set, transparent pricing availability, and how the tool compares to alternatives at similar price points.

20%
Customer Support

Availability of support channels, response quality, documentation, and community resources.

Data Sources

Our evaluations draw from multiple sources to build a complete picture:

  • Official vendor information — product pages, feature documentation, pricing pages, and help centres
  • User review platforms — G2, Capterra, and TrustRadius ratings and review themes
  • Product testing — free trials and demos evaluated where available
  • Market analysis — industry reports, company announcements, and competitive positioning

What Doesn't Influence Ratings

To maintain editorial independence, the following do not affect our scores or rankings:

  • Affiliate partnerships — we never boost a tool's rating because they pay us commissions
  • Vendor requests — tools cannot pay for higher placement or removal of negative information
  • Advertising — we do not run display advertising and tools cannot buy editorial coverage

Update Frequency

We review and update tool data regularly. When vendors release significant new features, change their pricing, or when review platform scores shift materially, we update our records accordingly. Each tool page shows a "last updated" date so you know how current the information is.

Found an Error?

If you spot incorrect information about any tool on our platform — wrong pricing, missing features, outdated details — please let us know. Accuracy is fundamental to what we do. Contact us and we will investigate and correct any genuine errors promptly.
